His exceptional performance led the Alouettes to a hard-fought 38-32 victory over the Calgary Stampeders on a scorching Saturday night.
Alexander’s heroics weren’t just about the win; he secured a league milestone, surpassing Darian Durant’s long-standing mark of 323 by extending his own streak to an astounding 336 consecutive pass attempts without an interception, a run stretching back to July 2025. “Great coaching, great play calls, great execution, great protection,” Alexander humbly summarized his achievement. “Just knowing what you’re supposed to do every single day, day in and day out.”
Alexander’s Unprecedented CFL Record
Despite nursing a questionable left hamstring, the Alouettes signal-caller was nothing short of brilliant. He completed 25 of 32 passes for a staggering 402 yards and tossed three touchdowns. This stellar outing marked his sixth consecutive game this season with over 300 passing yards, showcasing consistent dominance. This impressive individual achievement further solidified Montreal’s (5-1) grip on the standings, as they secured their second straight victory over the Stampeders, having bested them 37-30 just a week prior at home.
The contest at McMahon Stadium, played under a sweltering 33 degrees Celsius, unfolded with an all-too-familiar script for the home team. Montreal stormed out to an early lead, mirroring their previous encounter. Yet, the never-say-die Stampeders chipped away, mounting a thrilling comeback, only to fall agonizingly short. For Calgary (2-4), this loss added another chapter to a frustrating season, marking their fourth defeat in either the final minute or overtime.
The Alouettes’ offensive machine was powered by Travis Theis and Dustin Crum, who each rushed for touchdowns, alongside Cole Spieker, Tyler Snead, and Kaseem Ferdinand, who hauled in touchdown passes.
